OPI Kicks off New York Fashion Week...
OPI has kicked off the New York Fashion Week Fall 2012 shows doing the nails for Lauren Moffatt’s presentation at The Old School (a Catholic school turned events space) this morning!
The bright orange hue, A Good Man-darin Is Hard to Find (see below) was used on models’ nails. Nails were made short and squoval (square and oval ) to give fall looks the right pop of bright colour. Orange will continue to a big colour for nails throughout the year!
OPI continued with the nails for the second show, BCBG Max Azria at the Lincoln Center! Models’ nails were painted with Passion for a nude look that complimented the neutral colour blocking with pops of colour in the clothes. See below for image....
OPI Celebrate 30 Years!
In
honour of OPI’s 30th anniversary, more than 150 International OPI
Distributors from 60 countries convened in Napa Valley, California, for a
whirlwind of tours, events, sumptuous dinners, and wine tasting!
OPI got the party started in San Francisco at the World Famous Hyatt
Regency Hotel, where attendees were transported aboard luxury buses to
the Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa Valley.
Set against rolling hills and its own private vineyards, the Meritage
Resort and Spa was a destination unto itself with Tuscan inspired
guestrooms, an underground spa and restaurant, and conference
facilities.
After a day of rest for weary travellers, OPI dazzled with a full day of
dynamic presentations. World-renowned Drum Café, kicked off the event
with a high-energy drumming session featuring conference attendees as
the
orchestra. Said George Schaeffer of the event, “I can’t think of a
better way to celebrate 30 years in the nail industry than by sharing
the fun, fashion and family spirit that has made OPI famous!”
After the conference the group were treated to a fun packed day of tours of NAPA’s glorious wine region.

GELCOLOR TRAINING WITH OPI IN ROME
2nd February 2012 - Tara Oldham and Hazel Butler from the Lena White Training Institute represented the Lena White team at OPI’s International Training symposium for GelColor in Rome.
The intense two day training covered advanced techniques and product knowledge for this exciting new system. Tara said “Having tried a lot of competitor “gel polishes,” I can honestly
say that GelColor is the best gel in a bottle there currently is and I can see how this system will make a serious change to nail services today and in the future”. We can’t wait!

19th December 2011 - Super Nicki Minaj Fans and Youtube sensation Sophia Grace and her cousin visited the OPI head office last week ahead of the Nicki Minaj OPI Collection launch!
OPI have teamed up with Nicki Minaj to create 6 brand new colours, from neon blue and electric yellow to glittery gray and purple Shatter. The full collection will be available on our website in January 2012.

The MOBO Awards with OPI...
OPI were called upon again by the MOBO Awards to indulge the artists, management teams and celebrity guests with Manicures and Pedicures before the awards ceremony and afterwards at the after party! The MOBO Awards took place in Scotland this year and the fabulous Scottish Lena White Educator; Nicola Jones took her salon team Cosmetology. The team of 5 nail techs pampered the stars all day; they had a very special request to Alexis Jordan’s Hotel room where she had an OPI manicure and pedicure with Malaga Wine. After all the treatments were done the team was lucky enough to party with the stars at the after party!!
